Merida’s shocking corset!!!

- But do you see what I mean when I said I thought it was plain for a princess?  And it even looks dirty!  But that could be because Merida doesn’t care, or for historical accuracy, or both ;)

Well, corsets look like that though, If I’m correct, no one really wore them on the outside till later, so they weren’t fancy. (Although I have no idea what “time” it is in this plot so I don’t even know)

I believe the idea is that she’s a princess, and would therefore have a cleaner corset. Or at least one that didn’t look five years old.

Although I am surprised she’s not wearing a chemise underneath the corset. Unless we can’t see that.

Historically she wouldn’t be wearing a corset… based on the clothes, they didn’t wear corsets back then.  Also, I’m pretty sure there’s a white underdress under it, because you can see it in the sides when it rips, and along the neckline.
